Environmental and Planning Acoustics
New developments will generally always prove contentious and therefore being able to mitigate issues that may cause concern from local residents and other stakeholders is key to the planning process.
Acoustech is able to provide assessments in line with local policies and national/international standards, taking into consideration the latest government NPPF. Our team can also create residential assessments to BS8233 and commercial and industrial fixed plant assessments to BS4142.
Control of Noise at Work
Under the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 all employers have a specific duty to protect workers’ hearing at work. Acoustech can provide a service level that meets the clients exacting needs and can produce fixed point surveys and assessments as well as a full site investigation, with “heat maps” showing key machinery to consider and can also make recommendations for hearing protection zones in line with daily exposure action values to ensure compliance with Control of Noise at Work regulations.
This service applies not only to fixed premises but thanks to our expertise we can assess temporary workplaces and mobile plant and machinery as part of this service.
